It’s been a busy few weeks! We’re deep into potty training country here. Some days Sam is absolutely great about it and others she just could care less. Luckily there are more of the former days otherwise I’d just scrap it and go back to diapers.

I’ve been noticing an uptick in the creative/imaginative play as well as what she does within it.  She is a very caring soul and loves the panda bear she received last week that cries and snores.  I overheard this conversation she was having with him the other day:

We’re getting ready for Christmas here.  Today we introduced Sam to the joys of decorating a gingerbread houses.  I grew up decorating them and absolutely loved watching her get into it.
She did a pretty good job.
And has her own special technique that entailed spooning the icing on and then sticking in the candy.

We went to see Santa today.  I wasn’t initially going to take her but she asked after seeing him light the city’s Christmas tree so off we went.

We’ve been blowing a lot of bubbles this week.  I don’t know why but it’s become an obsession of Sams.  Every time we walk out the front door she has to stop and blow a few (hundred) before we can move on.

Sam has firmly entered the world of the imaginative play.  She talks to her animals all day, includes them in activities, wants them to watch her eat, take a bath, do gymnastics, dance around the house and the list goes on.

I’ve been delving into the world of kids crafts and art a bit more with Sam the last few weeks. it all started with the creation of our Halloween door decoration project at the beginning of the month.
Sam now reads the letters and says “happy hawoween!!” every time she sees it.
